These are the Fowlers :) A beautiful family who travelled all the way from Ross-On-Wye a couple of weeks ago to have their family photos taken! I will be honest and say I was struggling a little bit leading up to the shoot as I had not done any family shoots for a while and was really lacking inspiration and confidence! And then to make things totally worse, it just happened that day the dreaded hay-fever/allergies struck! But despite all of this, we met in the beautiful Sandford Park in Cheltenham to take these beautiful pictures! and so the story begins...

To start off with, the children were very excited to be in the park! So there was going to be no sitting still for them! So I started off just by photographing them running around and playing with dad while mom sorted them out - cleaning faces, changing outfits, toilet runs etc. and making sure their many bags were together ( joys if young children!) and this really helped them get used to the idea of me taking pictures and let them loose some of their energy and over excitement!

We then went in search of beautiful spots to take some pictures in! We had such an adventure, from covering trees with sheets to get the lighting just right! (nope, the sheet is not in the picture) to splashing in the fountain for ages waiting to get the perfect shot - and no, that picture above did not just happen, what you see is a blend of probably about 3-4 different shots! So we played by the fountain A LOT! :D

After a while, the little ones started to get bored. So we took the opportunity to get some nice pictures of mom and dad! While the little ones ran free..
